Students Spread Kindness at Christmas

Students from Midland Christian School helped spread kindness during the holidays by donating care packages for patients at MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland to comfort them during their stay. Accepting the packages is Suzie Gunn, B.S.N., R.N., manager of Maternal Child Health. Surrounding Gunn are students (left to right) Kayleigh Jones, student council vice-president; Elizabeth Conklin, student council secretary and Elizabeth Knake, student council president.  Missing from the photo is Donald Owens, III, student council treasurer.

The students of Midland Christian School held fundraisers from a $5 dollar jean day to a coin jar contest amongst the grades. With money raised the students visited local stores to purchase items that included stuffed animals, warm, fuzzy socks with grips on the bottom, personal care items, crossword puzzles and playing cards amongst other gifts. The items are being distributed to children in pediatrics and other adult patients throughout the Medical Center.
